2nd car this customer has brought to us with great results.

 

Nice LSX setup, ran out of injector with this one, I'd estimate it making 425-440whp with more fuel. We will eventually be spraying this with a 150+shot.

Glad to be helping with this one, Josh the owner wins a ton of races with this CR edition S2K. Hes very dedicated to the sport and is an excellent driver.

Our web site has been down for approx 6 months due to many issues with Go Daddy. If you have a web site of your own, please stay away from them, we have had nothing but issues. All we have had for the past 6 months is a single main page and a link to our tuning checklist. Its been very frustrating dealing with them and we finally got our new FTP log in info and we are now able to re upload years of our old content that they helpfully deleted for us. After all our old content is re uploaded, we will post a huge update of some highlights of our recent tunes and business changes, including updates on our new AWD dyno investment. 90% of the dyno is paid for and I have finally saved the rest. Its now finished and ready for pickup. Now its just down to finalizing all the transportation details. I cant thank my customers enough for making this dream a reality!

Considering a KPRO for your K series RSX or Civic?

I highly recommend you look into a Haltech Pro Plug in over the Hondata unit. So far my customers and I have been completely amazed with the new line up of direct plug in ecu's from Haltech. I have yet to find one fault with them and they are everything I could ever want out of a full standalone ecu. Amazingly they are priced about the same and you get far more features with the Haltech vs the Hondata. I can't say enough about how consistent the butter smooth end result is of the Haltech. Almost unlimited possibility, including RacePak support, VSS based and gear dependent boost control, individual EGT's, true VE based fueling, knock control, and much, much more. Dyno tuned using HP Tuners

GM 4.8l, ebay 45r replica, turbo 400 trans. Stock bottom end, stock head.

This current setup is about a 1/2 of a season old. With the current changes since the 9.1 pass, it should easily go 8s and take the stock 4.8l bottom end world record. Phillip (owner) and I have been friends for years now, I've tuned quite a few cars for him, he has been awesome to work with and I am absolutely thrilled to be apart of this build.

Went 10.9 @ 127 its second pass after the dyno tune on 11psi with a slipping clutch!

On3 turbo kit, with a Turbonetics 76mm, Megasquirt EMS dyno tuned to 15psi on e85, stock block.

Johnny is a hell of a guy that is extremely easy to work with and I look forward to seeing this car in the 9s next season!

dkGoodrich Tuned Haltech K Series S2K

Haltech Pro Plug in K series ECU, Haltech ecu's are by far my favorite standalone ecu's. They are loaded with wonderful features and options. They run on a butter smooth year around tune, with fast OEM like startups. I love seeing them come through the door, tuning them, is how I believe every ems should be. All my Haltech customers are absolutely thrilled with the results.

This specific car has a k24 built 13:1 bottom end, k20 Drag cartel built head.

Car made big power for a naturally aspirated Honda, Nitrous tune next tune session. This car ran absolutely amazing hitting its target air fuels too the tee.

This beautiful setup belongs to a friend out of Louisville. Throughout the years I have watched this car progress to what it is today. The owner Chris has done one heck of a job with the car. The car was currently revised with a new built turbo b series setup in it and came in recently for a soft engine break in tune. Glad to be a apart of this well built setup and it nice to see all the hard work has paid off.

Been a good month! Statistics are all up!

Preparing for the winter retune wave.

More videos and pictures soon.

Revising the shops security system, adding more cameras and a more powerful dvr system. High resolution Sony cameras can see ~300ft in complete darkness. DVR system has local/remote backup, alarms, real time viewing, etc, the works. Really happy about this shop revision. I only live 5 min from the shop, and there are loads of other security cameras on my building and the surrounding buildings, but you can never be too safe I don't guess.

The shop will constantly be revised this winter season, I am hoping this year will have the biggest revisions to date. I am really excited about adding the new customer waiting room, dyno cell and fabrication area. These were my plans last winter, but business was great and always comes first. This season, all materials and everything needed is inside the shop waiting. If anyone is interested in helping with the construction side of this project, please contact me!

These shops revisions should not have any disruptions in business what so ever. Please don't worry, we are always doing everything we can to prevent any of this from happening. I always put the customers first, none of this would be possible with out the loyal customer base. Thank you to everyone involved!

Winter Retunes

Its getting time for winter retunes, please schedule soon. Shoot for 40 degree weather and colder. This is a must guys, I can't stress this enough. When it gets cold, the air gets denser, which means you are getting more air in per pound of boost, it will need more fuel to compensate. We can install a switch in the cabin to switch from summer and winter time.

 

Retunes are fun guys, every time you come back, it gets smoother with more power and better fuel economy.

 

Tuning and race fab business has been doing great. Thanks for the continued business and support! Lots of new pictures and media will be added soon.

Nitrous Del Sol & Turbo Vitara CRX

I feel very fortunate that I get to tune a bunch of unique cars that some really great individuals and companies stand proudly behind. These two cars belong to RP from Sound Check in Layette Indiana. Quite a few really great stand up guys out there and I highly recommend them for any of your car audio needs. They seem to have an excellent taste in their hondas and I plan to tune their cars for years to come.

 

RP's Nitrous H2B Del Sol

Nitrous Del Sol was dyno tuned on a using small wet shot, It made 204whp @ 147tq off the bottle and 263whp @ 241tq on the bottle. Its stock bottom end with a built head, H to B transmission conversion and Skunk2 Pro2 cams. I'd say its a bottom 12 sec, high 11sec car that has plenty in it.

 

RP's Caged CRX

D series vitara setup, ran excellent and is now getting a larger turbo and bisi/webb cam.

Dan's Vitara EG

Bisi cam, Garrett GT32 turbo, Lovefab Mini Ram, extremely nice setup, trapped 119mph on 18psi on pump gas! B series killer..

 

Cody's Sleeved EK

Really cool setup, made mid 300 range at a low amount of boost. Its running our budget 62mm that everyone seems to be having great luck with. Hopefully we will see him back soon so we can turn it up more!

Racepak Digital Dash and Haltech Platinum Sport 2000 Test and tune!

We have never used any of these products on an obd1 honda to date, but we are now testing these two products. We have very high expectations for these high quality units. We have used the platinum units in other applications with excellent success and results. The accuracy of these units is something I have personally never seen in the tuning industry.

Steph's EK Hatch

Brad Brooks just finished up some paint work and buffing on her hatch. In these pictures, it actually wasn't finished being buffed, the polishing step wasn't even started. He did an excellent job on it and I highly recommend you contact him or me for any paint and body work.

This car is far from done but its getting there. Its getting a new fully built, ported, polished and cam'd head and a forged block real soon.

Never mind the multicolored wheels, that should be addressed soon.

Track Tuning!

I also help others learn to drag race, but at the track were the timers tick. I can rent you slicks and tune your car from the pits each pass. I log at least 100 parameters and turn them into overlayed 3d graphs. Your car will go faster each pass and you will be consistently driving like a pro in no time, normally in 1-3 track sessions you will have it down pat.

Most popular EMS systems have adequate logging systems but eCtune's logging system out shines most of the stand alone's in this department.

With the ectune cars, I control everything, you just stay 100% throttle from the launch and through every shift.

I control the burn out rpm, how hard the car launches, when your signaled to shift, your power curve, per gear and rpm, how aggressive the shifts etc.

All you have to do is follow my instructions and hit your shifts when the light comes on.

Track passes cost in more ways than one, your best bet is to make the most of each pass and this is exactly how it is done.

Dyno vs Street tuning

"its all about power"

83whp pump gas gain

I dyno tuned '8 ur v8' in only 3 pulls, its a black newer 30r sleeved civic with a new owner. Dyno tuning however was cut short due to minor issues that are now being address but I still managed to gain 83whp on pump gas over the junk crome tune it rolled in on. Sad thing is, I never touched the boost.

73whp pump gas gain

Retuned a customers car [Steven 4d vitara], customer had some minor issues in the previous street tune session and I had to stay very conservative till they were addressed but he needed the car as it was his daily and ride for IA. He came after IA and left with a completely different car, it now has 73whp more and a butter smooth tune. I never touched the boost, in fact its running off the gate and has no boost controller whatsoever to my knowledge. Not one change to the tune was needed or done on the street.

70whp pump gas gain

Dyno tuned a customer [Dale, black GSR-T] of mines car out from start to finish 100% using the dyno with a fresh map, that tune made 70whp more than the street tune it pulled in on, I had street tuned the car 4 months ago or so and it had been 12.1 @ 116. Car was a beast when we got done and was soo silky smooth. We logged the dyno tune on the street with a wideband and it was spot on.

55whp pump gas gain

Jacob's vitara setup, I never touched the boost level and got a 55whp gain. We are about to raise the boost more on 93 octane and I am expecting 75whp or so more. This car gets 34mpg and will be an 11 sec 1/4 mile car very soon.

Edit: Jacobs car went 11.9 ;) More numbers soon!

These are just pump gas gains, race gas gains will be in the hundreds, just watch and see.

Dyno is installed ready for more business!

So I can't help but to keep adding more and more goodies to it, upgrading it a bit here and there.

New 14ft alum. adjustable low profile ramps, 4000CFM 1hp intercooler fan, mini pc and 23" monitor are in, working and installed!

Dyno telescopic fully adjustable monitor mount, wireless mini hand controls, and giant 25ft 4" exhaust hose reel install is almost finished and will be functioning very shortly.

Exhaust extraction 700cfm fan and speed control are in waiting for install with reel.

Soon, I will be back at the idea of a portable dedicated sound deadened air circulated room, a 'dyno cell'. Construction of this will take some time as the sheer cost of this is almost as much as the dyno itself.

This thing is a whole lot larger than I anticipated, think of a 3000lbs box that measures out to 11'x3'x1' that has ramps, collapsible front tie down truss, control boxes, sensors, computer, monitor, exhaust extraction, centrifugal fans, etc.

Customer came in to get his car tuned and his buddy took these pictures of different cars wondering around inside the shop.

We do not recommend AEM widebands or any AEM products for that matter. Just happen to be on a car inside the shop. If your tuning with one of these widebands it could lead to some real bad news one day for your engine or long term fuel corrections. The inaccuracy I have seen first hand with these units is pitiful.

Widebands: NGK/PLX/Motec > AEM Uego

Stand alone's: Haltech/Motec > AEM

Regulators: Stock FPR, Fuel Lab > AEM FPR

Currently, the only thing AEM wise I will personally use is their sensors, and they don't even make them, they are just re badged, and I got them for next to nothing. I will however support your aem products with my customers and help make them work the best they can.
